Did You Know?

Lucky Bride!?

It seems that weddings cause many brides to become more superstitious than they may normally be! Here are few fun facts that you may not know regarding luck and the wedding day!

  • It may be the most popular day to wed, but Saturday is the unluckiest wedding day, according to English folklore.
  • According to Hindu tradition, rain on your wedding day is actually considered good luck!
  • Egyptian women pinch the bride on her wedding day for good luck. Ouch!
  • The English believe a spider found in a wedding dress means good luck. Hmmm!

Design Advice

Q: I love the look of your invitations! I’d really like to have my invitations printed with raised lettering. What type of printing is offered by TGK?

A: The Green Kangaroo uses professional printing presses to print our wedding invitations. Our Signature Invitation Collection are flat printed, however, we do offer raised printing (known as thermography). Some of our classic designs like The Grace Invitation can be printed in thermography for no additional charge. Other designs may incur an additional fee, depending on the complexity of the design and the number of ink colors utilized (as well as your quantity). If you are interested thermography for your invitations, please contact us to discuss your options!
